Representatives of political parties contesting in the election campaign to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis submitted documents for registration of candidates to the respective representative body.
As explained Marhamat Yakubov, member of the Central Election Commission for registration of candidates for deputies to the lower house of parliament, all the necessary documents were submitted in line with the law. These include application by a head of a political party with a request for registration of candidates, attached with the decision of the supreme body of the party to nominate candidates and application of candidates with the agreement to run for the parliament seat from an appropriate voting district and release from the job performed (service) in the event he or she is elected to the Legislative Chamber.
The Central Electoral Commission shall check and provide conclusion on the conformity of the documents to the law within seven days time.
In the case of inconsistencies and deviations in the submitted documents from requirements of legislation, the Central Electoral Commission in due course shall inform heads of respective political parties.
Pre-election campaign will start after the registration of candidates, and will end on December 26. Campaigning on the election day is not allowed.
