Students vote for the first time
Voters in Tashkent are participating in the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the city people’s deputies’ council.
At the voting station No.477 of Shaykhantahur district, almost 1,380 citizens living in Urda mahalla are registered. 66 of them are young men and ladies participating in the elections for the first time.
Military servicemen vote
Voting station No.205, which is included in the Railway election district No.126, is located in one of the military units of Tashkent. The voting to candidates for deputies started here eerily in the morning.

About 300 observers from foreign states and international organizations are monitoring the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. UzA correspondents asked some of the observers to speak about the election process.
First voters in Karakalpakstan
The elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Joqargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan and city and district people’s deputies’ councils started at all voting stations in Karakalpakstan.
“All required conditions for the free expression of the will of the voters have been created,” chairman of the fourth Ernazar-Olakuz district election commission Kalboy Alimov said. “More than 10,000 voters are registered in our district.”

Uzbekistan to hold parliamentary elections on 27 December
The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan held a briefing for international observers and local and foreign media on 26 December.
Commission chairman Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov informed the participants about the work carried out to prepare and hold the elections to the Legislative Chamber and representative bodies of the state authority.
