Training of the OSCE/ODIHR in Sarajevo

According to invitation of the OSCE/ODIHR Head of press-service of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Nizamitdin Nurmatov and Head of Tashkent city local office of Independent institute for monitoring the formation of civil society Doniyor Ayupov from 27 to 29 November this year, took part in the training sessions for the short-term observers, which was held in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). There were 34 representatives from 17 OSCE participating States.

In a three-day training workshop participants familiarized with the overviews and current challenges of the OSCE, the role of the OSCE/ODIHR in the election observation, the basic principles and standards on elections, working as a team in international environment, the main provisions of the Code of Conduct for ODIHR observers, methods of organization and activities in short-term observers to monitor the actions of voting process on election day, practical solutions of different situations during international observation.

Upon completion of the training, the participants were given certificates of OSCE/ODIHR short-term observers.
